# Domain Checker

> Free bulk domain checker at https://domain.techvrs.com/. Paste up to 100 domains and it reports, for each one, whether the website is working, redirecting, parked, suspended, broken (SSL, DNS, timeout, server error) or available to register, and whether an available domain used to have a website.

## What it does

- Visits each domain's home page over HTTPS and HTTP (and `www.`), follows up to 6 redirects and classifies the result.
- For domains that do not load, looks up registration through RDAP (the official WHOIS replacement): available, taken, or expiring (expired / redemption / pending delete), with registrar and expiry date.
- For available or expiring domains, checks the Wayback Machine for past snapshots and the years the site was active.
- Results can be filtered, searched, sorted, copied, or downloaded as CSV.
- Free, with fair-use limits: about 60 checks per minute and 1,000 domains per day per visitor; 100 domains per run.

## Result categories

- Working: site loads normally over HTTPS.
- Working (redirect): loads but redirects to another domain, or works over HTTP only.
- Blocked / Auth: 401, 403, 429 or a bot challenge; the site is alive but blocks automated checks.
- Parked / For sale: for-sale, ads or expired page, or a redirect to a domain marketplace.
- Suspended: hosting account suspended or disabled.
- Default page: server default page (e.g. "Welcome to nginx"), no real site.
- SSL error: invalid or expired certificate, or failed TLS handshake.
- DNS failed: the domain does not resolve (possibly expired or unregistered).
- Timeout, Unreachable, Server error, Client error: no answer, refused connection, 5xx or 4xx.

## Good to know

- Some ccTLDs (for example .de, .io, .co, .me) have no RDAP service, so their registration status is reported as Unknown.
- Use cases: finding expired domains with history, cleaning link lists, auditing a domain portfolio, finding broken outbound links.
